I am writing to advise you of our upcoming project to upgrade the gas network pipes in and around Bourne Road, Bexleyheath. We are replacing our old metal gas mains and services with new plastic pipe. This essential work will ensure your community continues to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.

Our contractor, JDT Utilities, who will be completing this project on our behalf, will start work on 12 February for approximately six weeks.

The network of pipes we need to replace are under the carriageway and to comply with road safety regulations we will need to close the lane in the road travelling toward Bexleyheath, Westbound from outside 111 Blendon Road to outside property 183 Blendon Road while we carry out our work. Access will not be available to the Drive or Penhill Road going south. Parking spaces will also be restricted during this time.

Access will remain for residents and businesses; however, we may need to restrict this at times.  

A diversion will be in place coming from the A2 and from Danson Underpass. 

Once this work has been completed, we will be moving further along the road.
