Jumpers for Jimmy - 12th December 2025
We are inviting all students and staff to participate in our annual Christmas jumper day, this year proudly named ‘Jumpers for Jimmy’, taking place on Friday, 12th December.

This event is dedicated to raising vital funds for the Mizen Foundation, an organisation established in memory of Jimmy Mizen. Jimmy was tragically murdered in the local area in 2008. Since then, his parents, Barry and Margaret, have worked tirelessly to ensure Jimmy's legacy lives on by promoting the powerful message of Forgiveness, Hope, and Peace throughout schools and communities, more details can be found on their website http://www.jimmymizen.org.uk/
Supporting the Sparkle Award
Our fundraising efforts this year will specifically support the Foundation’s Sparkle Award. This award is designed to shine a spotlight on the extraordinary acts of kindness, support, and positive community impact demonstrated by young individuals.
The Sparkle Award celebrates those young people who may not always receive academic accolades but whose character and actions make an indelible impact on the atmosphere and well-being of their schools and local communities. It is a true celebration of community spirit and positive values.
How You Can Help
On Friday, 12th December, we encourage all students and staff to wear a festive jumper over their school shirt and tie along with their usual uniform. In return for wearing their jumper, we are asking for a small voluntary donation, which will go directly to funding the Mizen Foundation’s Sparkle Award. Please use our Just Giving Page here to make a donation:

We believe that supporting the Mizen Foundation directly reinforces the values of kindness, community and respect that we promote every day in our school.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and participation. We look forward to a day of festive spirit and meaningful giving.
