VE Day 2025

VE Day - 8th May 2025 marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe. The day is to celebrate the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on Tuesday, 8 May 1945; it marked the official surrender of all German military operations.

Mr Barritt and Mrs Tebbutt from the History Department worked with students to produce posters to celebrate this special anniversary to embed the importance of why we and other European countries remember what sacrifices were made by our forebears.
