Boccia Finals

Boccia Tweet
On the 3rd May 2017 our Boccia team represented London at the Lord Taverners National Boccia Finals at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

At the competition today the boys came 9th out of 12 competing teams.

This journey marks a fantastic achievement for this group of boys. It all began qualifying through two regional qualifiers that consisted of over 500 schools participating up and down the country to make it through to represent their respective regions at the National finals.

This group of boys consisting of George Miller, Asa Hems, Jack Tatton and Harry Crouch have been playing and competing together through a number of different regional competitions for 6 years (3 years for George) and in what is there last year playing together and they have capped all their successes off today by fulfilling their ambition of qualifying and competing nationally.

It was a fantastic experience and they, Mrs Beaven and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They competed against a very high standard of competitors and they represented the school and themselves exceptionally and I couldn't be any more proud of them.

Please congratulate them on their success if you see them.

Thank you again for the support you give to the Boccia Boys, they really appreciate it. The support and words of encouragement really do inspire and give the boys confidence to go out and compete and enjoy their Boccia.
