Welcome from the New Headteacher
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to be writing to you as Headteacher of Cleeve Park School and I very much look forward to working in partnership with you and your sons and daughters.
I have spent each Tuesday since my appointment in October getting to know Cleeve Park students and staff and have been impressed by the dedication and care shown by staff and by the enthusiasm of the students for their school. The staff at Cleeve Park have a clear emphasis on the well-being of each and every student and a genuine desire that the time your child spends with us should be safe and happy as well as successful.
I have spent just over 4 years at Welling School, Bexley, where I was 1st Deputy Headteacher and prior to that Head of College at Kemnal Technology College for 2 years and as such have considerable experience of raising academic standards. I have always believed that education must be engaging and enjoyable. It should stimulate debate and creativity leading to all students achieving their very best. Cleeve Park has the commitment and dedication of staff
to ensure this is realised.
We have four core values: a positive ethos, learning for life, challenge and support. By working together we will develop the potential of your sons and daughters to the full, creating well rounded young people equipped with the necessary skills and qualifications to take on the challenges of the 21st century.
My vision is for Cleeve Park School to become outstanding in every sense of the word and I am excited to be leading our journey towards achieving this. Over the next few weeks I will be holding 'drop in' sessions where you can come along and meet me and the senior leadership of the school, I will advise shortly of the days and timings. I would like to encourage parents and carers to attend these sessions so we can gain first-hand the thoughts of our parents/carers and our local community.
