Micro-Tyco Students Win Work Experience with Deloitte

Last November two teams of our sixth form students entered the WildHearts Micro-Tyco Entrepreneurial competition to win work experience at Deloitte’s in London plus a trip to the GEL Summit at the United Nations in Geneva.

The students had to think of two different original ways to make money that would be donated to charity. James Irons and Issaac De Frietas were picked, out of all the students that entered the competition around the country, to carry out their work experience at Deloittes for a week. Not only did our students win this but they were also picked, plus Fin Murphy and Riyad El-Ghaliani, to attend the UN in Geneva.

The purpose of this trip was to bring together global leaders, to inspire students from diverse backgrounds on the importance of Responsible Business and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event focused on the theme of ‘Business for Good’, connecting students from around the globe, encouraging them to collaborate and create innovative ideas that address the UN’s SDG’s. The students engaged with leading corporates and entrepreneurs in the conversation, providing a platform for them to inspire the next generation of leaders that our world deserves.
